A Mppt ( Maximum Power Point Tracking), or Maximum power point tracker is an electronic DC to DC  Converter that optimizes the match between the solar array (PV panels),and the battery Bank or utility grid. Simply put, they convert a higher voltage DC output from the solar panels ( and a few wind generators) down to the lower voltage needed to charge batteries.

Compare to conventional PWM controllers,  MPPT technology increases the charge efficiency up to 20% and potentially decrease the power of solar array needed.

This solar charge controller is an advanced solar charger with maximum power point tracking. The intelligent MPPT algorithm. Allows the solar charge controller to extract maximum power from the solar arrays by finding the maximum power point of the arrays.

The MPPT battery charging process has been optimized for long battery life and improved system performance. Self-diagnostics prevent damage when installation errors or system faults occur. This charger also features a multifunctional LCD with communication ports for remote battery temperature and voltage measurement.
